Our Current Projects

Education

Our education project will pursue several objectives:

  1. Explore and develop peace and non-violent skills as a response to Daily Challenges.
  2. Develop an attitude of open-mindedness and critical thinking.
  3. Explain Quaker beliefs, values, and practices and their relevance for males and females in Ghana.

This is to be carried out in partnership with the Ghana Education Service and Private schools in Ghana.

Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability

As Quakers, our testimonies, African traditions, and Christian teachings call us to act, not just reflect. The Bible reminds us: “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it” (Psalm 24:1). And in the spirit of ubuntu—humanity towards others—we embrace our responsibility to both community and creation.

After Ghana’s independence, VOLU attracted more students as the need for community development became great.
